Haute Event: Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco’s Mid-Winter Gala
by Blair Cassuto

The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco held their seventh annual Junior Committee of the Fine Arts Museum’s Mid Winter Gala on March 5, 2011.  The eventful evening brought together more than 400 of the Bay Area’s young art patrons and leaders. Honorary chairs, Vanessa Getty and Trevor Traina, welcomed the night with sponsors such as Grey Goose Vodka, Nordstrom, Porsche Design, and Swanson Vineyards. The night was greeted by Stanlee Gatti’s designs of his Moroccan themed decorations. This star-studded event included Billy Getty, Alexis Traina, CEO of Twitter Dick Costolo, Marissa Mayer, Alec and Serena Perkins, and Jad Dunning.

The Junior Committee of the Fine Arts Museums was formed to bring together the next generation of outstanding young persons of the San Francisco area who have a passion for the arts. It was expected to raise over $400,000 for the museum, which directly benefits the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco.
