Haute Event: An Afternoon at the Wanderlust Festival at The Standard, Miami Beach

This past weekend brought Wanderlust to The Standard in Miami Beach. The yoga, music, and wellness festival took place from Thursday, March 17 to Sunday, March 20 and brought together some the nation’s most renown instructors, each teaching an array of yoga practices ranging from beginner, intermediate, and advance levels.
Haute Living spent a memorable afternoon exploring Wanderlust’s multiple events; we stopped by yoga overlooking the magnificent Biscayne Bay, belly dancing on the grass circle, and a seminar by Dr. Paul Gannon on keeping your GI healthy.
Dance was also a reoccurring theme throughout the Wanderlust weekend as guests were able to choose from classes like Egyptian Belly Dancing, Burlesque Fitness Fusion, and Salsa and Latin Groove. Performances were a signature component of the weekend’s festivities. Musical guests like Bonobo filled the air with energetic sounds while people danced or lounged throughout the property. Motivational lectures focused on personal awareness, mental balance, and internal health while sharing practical applications for listeners to use in their daily life. Studio rooms were open for meditation between sessions and instructors met with students after classes to answer questions and tweak techniques. The Standard’s signature spa services were complimentary to all Wanderlust participants. Overall, Wanderlust provided guests with a relaxing, scenic environment while simultaneously promoting personal strength and reflection.
