Haute Dining Update: Mezze to Open One Week From Today

We received word from a reliable source that Mezze restaurant, helmed by epicurean prodigy Micah Wexler (L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon and Craft), will officially open its beautiful antique doors to the public on Monday, March 28.

With Eastern Mediterranean and Middle Eastern comfort fare, the restaurant promises to sate diners with serious innovation and farm-to-table (OK, garden-to-table; we don’t really have too many farms in L.A.) plates and cocktails. Exotic and flavorful signature dishes include, Veal Manti with Almond Milk and Black Lime, and Yellowtail Crudo peppered with toasted pine nuts and cherry gremolata.

The dining room, dotted with olive trees and laden with reclaimed wood flooring from a Lebanese chateau, comes complete with an expansive skylight for that magical, dining-under-the-stars feel. Patio seating is also available. An open kitchen, enhanced with a wood-burning oven, will allow guests to watch Wexler hard at work and witness his finely-tuned creations firsthand.

Few remnants of Sona remain and something big is on the horizon, so be sure to make reservations soon.

Mezze is located at 401 La Cienega Blvd., Los Angeles. 310.657.4103.
