Haute Dining: Harvard & Stone Bar Quietly Opens on Hollywood Blvd.

Harvard & Stone Bar quietly opened two weeks ago, much to the delight of L.A.’s cocktail aficionados. The nondescript facade and random location (Thai Town) only add to the allure of the dimly lit hot spot. Step through a darkened doorway to an interior straight out of the ’20s. A mix of “industrial antiques” and decor adds to the speakeasy vibe of the joint. The two bars within serve up old fashioned libations. Signature cocktails are skillfully crafted with perfectly square cubes of ice, employing interesting liqueurs like Fernet Branca. It is the perfect place for a casual night out and fabulous cocktails. There is a stage area set up in the front of the space, so it may not be long before local artists pop in for a show and a drink with the patrons. The bar in the back is an experimental bar where the bartender mixes up concoctions that are more daring and cutting edge.

Harvard & Stone Bar is located at 5221 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90027. 323.466.6063.
