Haute Dining: Champagne Brunch at the Taj Boston
by Kate Dempsey-Stouffer

Next weekend the Taj Boston will commence its seasonal service of rooftop brunches. I was delighted to discover that April 3 was the start date this year and promptly made a reservation for that very day.

I became a loyal fan of the Taj chain after staying in two of their magnificent hotels during a trip to India earlier this year. Luxury is certainly the name of the game for Taj, and I’ve found both the service and style to be impeccable.

I was thrilled to hear that the Boston branch’s popular Sunday Champagne brunches were right around the corner. From the glass-enclosed rooftop restaurant you are treated to views of the Boston Public Garden and Newbury Street while dining on anything from traditional gourmet breakfast fare to oysters at the raw bar, sushi, or Indian cuisine. All of this is overseen by executive chef Michael Mandato, who joined the Taj team just last year.

Between perusing the food options, stopping by the dessert buffet, and sipping on bubbly, you will no doubt leave feeling the decadence of your morning. Seatings are available until 2:30 p.m. on Sundays at a cost of $69 for adults. This includes a glass of Champagne, as many trips to the food stations as you can handle, and unlimited views of the city from the gorgeous Taj Boston.

The Taj Boston is located at 15 Arlington Street, Boston, 617. 536.5700
