Celebrity Living: “How I Met Your Mother” Star Neil Patrick Harris Puts A-List Property On The Market
by Delilah Smith

From big screen as Doogie Howser, to the Broadway stage in Cabaret, film, television, and stage actor, Neil Patrick Harris has no difficulty branching out, and upgrading his status, talents, and it is no exception to his living environments. Now ready to settle down with his performing partner, David Burtka, and twin babies in their new 2.1 million dollar Encino, CA residence, the couple is now putting their Studio City mansion up on the market for grabs at $1,599,000, and this abode is anything but humble.

The “How I Met Your Mother” star did his fair share of renovating to the already lavish living spaces, and transformed them into an immense luxury only fit for triple-threats, such as him. After buying the ranch-style home for $1,500,000 in 2007, Harris and his partner Burtka went on to refurbish the landscaping, hardscaping, and the exterior designs of the kitchen, using their well-earned pay checks to advance these areas into that of billionaire status, having the capability of making even multi-millionaire designers jealous of their décor. The beautiful kitchen is so perfectly refined that any celebrity chef would die to get their hands on the Grade-A appliances and Medieval pot racks that there are to offer.

Rightfully and intelligently, they decided to keep many of the awarded assets there were to the home, such as the French doors, plentiful fireplaces, barbeque center and swimming pool, and the hardwood floors with their elegant red over-tone. Another part of the home that was not changed was one of the guest bathrooms done up in high-glitz and garish with mirrored walls, ceiling and vanity, rust colored marble floors and counter tops, peach colored sheers over the window, and a twinkling chandelier. Although gaudy and obviously over-the-top for a family home, it was responsibly maintained for its artistic capacity and “masterpiece-like” appearance.

Like its previous owner, this three bedroom, three bathroom beauty is on the top of the world as one of the most sought-after properties, not only offering its high ceilings and brick terrace, but also the history and “legendary” footsteps on Neil Patrick Harris; star of stage and screen.
