We Will Rock You: A Taste of Rock of Ages at South Coast Plaza
You’ve heard of it all: lunchtime runs, lunchtime picks me ups at your plastic surgeon, business lunches, etc. But this Thursday, Feb. 24th, South Coast Plaza will be hosting a lunchtime mini-concert featuring the Segerstrom Center for the Arts’s latest Broadway tour, Rock of Ages.
That afternoon at 1:00, the ground floor level of Jewel Court at South Coast Plaza (outside of Macy’s near Ralph Lauren, Georgio Armani, Fendi and MaxMara) will be transformed into a stage and giving the Rock of Ages cast a chance to preview the show. A hit new musical comedy, Rock of Ages features some of the best-known and anthemic arena-rock anthems and power ballads of the 1980s. During the lunchtime concert, cast members will perform highlights from the shows, which includes music by Journey, Styx, Pat Benatar, Poison, REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, Bon Jovi and many more.
So if you’re planning a working lunch, cut it short and head to South Coast for a different kind of afternoon delight.
South Coast Plaza is located at 3333 Bristol St., in Costa Mesa. For more information on the performance, contact the center’s concierge at 800.782.8888 or visit their official web site at www.southcoastplaza.com.
