Haute Event: Vanity Fair Prepares Hollywood for Oscars with Series of Exclusive Events

Vanity Fair is rolling out the Red Carpet Campaign Hollywood.

For twelve years, globally renowned magazine, Vanity Fair, as held a series of spectacular events which lead up to the annual Academy Awards ceremony, and 2011 is no exception. The fulsome festival, entitled Campaign Hollywood, is a week-long spectacle of elite events and extraordinary activities equipped for the rich and famous, welcoming the Oscars back to its hometown.

From West Hollywood cocktail parties, to art auctions hosted by the beautiful Scarlett Johansson, the week of Campaign Hollywood, Feb. 21-27, involves a delectable supply of festivities to prep for your walk down the red carpet, and an even greater supply of luxurious, yet generous, sponsors to bring the week over the edge of extravagance. Chrysler has provided their services for the week, allowing VIP guests to be escorted to their destinations in the all new Chrysler 300 installation, which will not only be displayed on the red carpet, but auctioned off at the end of the Academy Awards, along with a roof-full of celebrity autographs.

L’Oreal Paris is another stylish supporter of Vanity Fair’s eventful week, sponsoring The Screening Room, Vanity Fair’s new video programming channel, featuring exclusive interviews, original shorts, behind-the-scenes coverage of celebrity photo shoots, and insider access to Vanity Fair’s world famous Academy Awards party.

Palihouse will also aid in the campaign’s success, hosting the Vanity Fair Parlour by transforming their sophisticated hotel into a stylish and celebrated haven, featuring iconic Vanity Fair photographs and select advertisers, enhancing the experience for each individual. The Vanity Fair Parlour is the centerpiece of Campaign Hollywood 2011 and will be used for private and public events all week, including “D.J. Night,” co-sponsored by L’Oréal Paris and Lucky Brand Jeans, and a “Wine Tasting” event sponsored by American Airlines. This year, Vanity Fair Campaign Hollywood will also have an app available for the iPhone and iPad entitled the Vanity Fair Hollywood: Oscars® Edition, featuring exclusive analysis of each nominee, links to H.D. trailers of nominated films as well as the ability to participate in voting pools through Facebook.

Campaign Hollywood is a week of events that celebrate the best of our culture while also raising awareness for some excellent causes” says Vanity Fair Vice President and Publisher Edward J. Menicheschi. “The partnerships we’ve formed with philanthropic groups will allow these organizations to use the strength of our brand to extend their reach.” Rest assure that this week will be unlike any other in the city of Los Angeles.

  • Monday, February 21 – Chrysler Celebrates “The Fighter”
  • Tuesday, February 22 – Artists for Peace & Justice Celebration with Brioni & Paul Haggis
  • Wednesday, February 23 – The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas & The Art of Elysium’s “Pieces of Heaven” Art Auction
  • Thursday, February 24 – Richard Mille Toasts Fox Searchlight Films
  • Friday, February 25 – D.J. Night at Palihouse with L’Oréal Paris and Lucky Brand Jeans
