Trip the Bright Fantastic: Bright Fashion by Louis Vuitton, Prabal Gurung, Max Mara, Prada and more

While the spring collections usually usher in a brighter color palette with the traditional understanding that things lighten up come warmer months, this year designers have really upped the ante. Not only are we seeing the injection of stark shades, but the mixing of them in a rainbow of less-than-obvious combinations. Color blocking in ways that few would think up; you’ll be hard up to find a collection that didn’t pair pinks, reds, oranges, greens, blues and yellows in perfect harmony. And best of all, it seems the odd amalgamations match better than anyone could have expected. Of course they do, they’re being mixed by fashion’s best spin doctors: Christian Dior, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Fendi and other heads of the fashion state have all gone off the color deep-end and we suggest you jump in after.
