Wash, Blo and Go: Blo at the W Hollywood shows Tinsel Town that Hot Pink is the New Black

Every 4 to 6 weeks we experience it. That feeling of glamour as we walk out of a salon, hair freshly cut, colored and styled. With that extra pep in our step, we just know we’re turning heads and can’t help but smile at ourselves every time we pass a mirror. Then, we wash our hair. Though we give a great attempt, we just can’t bring back the magic and our follicle frustration grows.

Introducing, Blo. Here to answer the prayers of Hollywood’s hair impaired is, North America’s original blow dry bar. The brand new salon located inside the W Hotel, does one thing, and does it well- style hair. No shears, no dye, just styling.

Blo is based on the idea of having fabulous cat-walk hair in between hair-cuts and color (so you don’t need to worry about cheating on your hair dresser) and is the perfect solution for those who are always in a rush, but want to look their absolute best.

Blo stylists, otherwise known as Blo-ers, are there with one thing in mind: to bring you fab-in-a-flash hair. Bring in a picture of your desired look du jour or choose one of their signature styles from the fabulous Blo hair menu and stylists will have you ready for any occasion. The Red Carpet is a traditional blow out, straight hair with some curl toward the ends to give those Hollywood starlets a run for their money; the Executive Sweet is pencil straight, sleek and chic and is sure to show colleagues you mean business; Hunt Club is a polished pony–and no, not the kind you asked for when you were five; A High Society selection will get you a perfect coif- for those Breakfast at Tiffany’s kind of mornings; Holly Would is a fun, flirty look that will you turning heads and breaking hearts all over la la land; Hugs, Sex & Rock and Roll is big, sexy hair, that will have you channeling your inner rocker–think Beyonce turned Sasha Fierce; and Boho Braid is a southern California classic–a chic blow out with an interlaced braid that would make Mother Nature proud.

If at-home primping is more to your liking, Blo offers Blo-on-the-Go, where Blo-ers will come to your home, office, or site and ensure you look nothing less than spectacular. Blo also offers Blo parties either at home or in the salon- you bring the champagne & they’ll bring the fun, Blo Bridal and a large amount of hair products that range from shampoo and conditioner to extensions (that stylists will put in for you free of charge on the day of purchase).

The salon itself is a modern, grown-up version of Barbie’s hair salon. Pink pops of color, clear chairs, ultra comfortable wash stations and posters of two of Hollywood’s most glamorous women- Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe- provide proof that this salon is the perfect girly getaway. The white lights provide a fresh, crisp atmosphere and the bubbly staff will put you in a great mood.

Come in by yourself and make all the other girls jealous, or rent out the salon for the ultimate girly experience. Either way, for days when you want to impress or when you just want that extra pep in your step, try Blo Blow Dry Bar at the W Hotel and be prepared to be blown away.
