McGregor's Grill and Tavern is pretty much a San Diego staple when it's comes to great sports bars in the city. With awards in all kinds of categories from various reviewers, this is the perfect place to relax and watch the game any night of the week. In the middle of Mission Valley, they serve amazing food all day, they house twenty brand-new hi-def flat screens, and if you get bored, you can hit the shuffleboard and play a stranger for a beer. Supporting all the local sporting teams, and even displaying a scoreboard for the Padres on the wall, McGregor's knows what a sports bar should provide, and they do it well.

Bully's East is the old-school, club style sports bar and restaurant that you head to when you're looking for that traditional, "this is the way a sports bar should be" venue. Known for it's amazing prime rib, and feeling kind of like an old boys' club, Bully's does sports right. Their lights are kept low, and the amount of pro players that choose this as their choice of bars is pretty large compared to other places. If you like a bar with wood and a legitimacy vibe that cannot be faked with your sports, Bully's East is definitely the spot for you.
