With the many food and wine enthusiasts heading south for the South Beach Wine & Food Festival this weekend, ask yourself one question: where do I start?

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in South Beach is proud to be a part of the many events going on at the luxurious hotel for the South Beach Wine & Food Festival. If you are in the mood for hearty and delicious burgers, head on out for the Amstel Light Burger Bash. Enjoy them while overlooking the ocean at The Ritz-Carlton and soaking in some rays. The nation’s best burger makers are featured as they compete head-to-head by making their own special hamburger and judged by the event’s attendees. Featured chefs will be Michael Schlow, Shake Shack, Spike Mendelsohn, Michael Symon and the hotel’s very own Executive Sous Chef Oscar Vides, who is creating the Foie Gras Torchon Burger and Black Truffle Tater Tots, for the first time ever.

If for some reason you are not able to attend the actual event, you are still in luck. Dilido Beach Club is holding their own Burger Bash and no ticket is required! From Feb. 24 through 26, 5 p.m. to midnight, catch Chef de Cuisine & Burger Bash Chef Josh Becker who will be grilling outdoors and oceanfront, preparing some culinary favorites! Some of the daily specials that are going to be included are Foie Gras Torchon Burger on the 24th, Pork Two-Ways on the 25th, and an all-you-can-eat Chilled Seafood Display on the 26th. Refreshing Watermelon Sangria will be served and still catch a glimpse of your favorite Food Network stars through enormous high tech telescopes.

Another tasty event you can catch at The Ritz-Carlton this weekend is The Best Thing I Ever Ate. Hosted by Food Network’s Ace of Cakes star, Duff Goldman, this event, taking place Saturday, Feb. 26, will feature 20 of the nation’s biggest food stars, chefs, and celebrities. They will be sharing with those in attendance their many favorite culinary dishes and cocktails found near the shorelines from all over the United States. Be sure to see culinary talents such as Anne Burrell, Sunny Anderson, Scott Contant, Chuck Hughes, and Ritz-Carlton Sous Chef Oscar Vides as they join special celebrity guests to showcase their favorite yummy delights. Providing the entertainment will be Grammy Award-winning group, KC and the Sunshine Band.
