Creative mixes of what could have been Madonna and other Pop, R&B, and Hip Hop beats filled the Cornelius Room of the SLS hotel while celebrities and fashionistas alike attended the SHEER GLAMOUR Pre-Grammy Beauty Suite and VIP Lounge on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011.  Sponsored by Uptown Magazine, renowned makeup artist AJ Crimson and celebrity hair stylist Carla Gentry Osorio hosted the year’s most fabulous get-ready-to-red-carpet soiree!

An eclectic mix of patrons, from Grammy nominees to Hollywood insiders, sit on semi-circle leather couches in front of miniature cube tables while sipping mimosas and citrus-infused H2O in an all-white interior suite of the trendy West Hollywood hotel.  Several hours prior to the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, indulgences such as massage, manicure, eyelash application, beauty makeover, skin analysis, and of coarse, hair styling were offered in preparation for the ceremony.  An array of jeweled cocktail dresses and Grammy-worthy evening gowns by Jovani were displayed; and a photographer snapping candid images in front the press wall could also be noticed at the invite-only event.

AJ Crimson was spotted applying his innovative cosmetic solutions, of which have also been seen on celebrities like Fergie, Keyshia Cole, and Hilary Duff and in publications such as Vogue, InStyle, and Glamour.  He was as well promoting the latest addition to his accomplishment list, Kissable Couture, a posh line of lip color he founded with Keisha Whitaker.

Co-owner of Styles New York Hair Salon in Manhattan, Carla Gentry Osorio specializes in color, cut, and extensions to fashionistas like Kerry Washington, Sofia Vergara, and Gabrielle Union. Her work has also been seen in commercial campaigns for Gap and Reebok.  The stylist was also publicizing her new brand of hair extensions, Kookie Klips.

“Eyelash Guru to the Stars,” Ja’Maal Buster set up an eyelash application bar for anyone seeking to add a bit of drama to her look. His tailor-made technique of enhancing a woman’s facial features by custom building her application has been featured on Rihanna, Kelly Rowland, and Audrina Patridge and also mentioned in magazines like Vogue, The Atlantan, and Dallas.
