Haute Event: San Francisco Performances and Gordon and Ann Getty Host Annual Presenters Dinner
by Pauline Sung

On Tuesday, Feb. 1, San Francisco Performances and Gordon and Ann Getty hosted the San Francisco Performances Annual Presenters Dinner. The dinner, held intimately at the Getty residence, honored cellist Alisa Weilerstein. The evening included performances by the acclaimed musician that featured Osvaldo Golijov’s Omaramor and a selection from Bach’s Cello Suites.
Ruth Felt founded San Francisco Performances in 1979 with a season of seven concerts. Since then, the organization remains the Bay Area’s leading independent presenter of chamber music, vocal and instrumental recitals, and jazz and contemporary dance. Under Felt’s artistic direction, the organization presents internationally celebrated and emerging performing artists, introduces innovative arts programs, and builds new and diversified audiences for the arts though education and outreach which, in turn, strengthens the local performing arts community.
Also in attendance that evening were known philanthropist Gordon Getty, San Francisco Performances President and Founder Ruth Felt, Chair of the San Francisco Performances Board of Trustees Judy Harding, and several of the trustees and major donors of the organization.
