The lingerie boutique named Only Hearts first opened in 1978 under the direction of Helena Stuart. At first, the boutique was a tribute to everything heart-shaped, but as her boutique started to grow, she began to expand her focus, thinking of lingerie more as fashion rather than a necessity, as something you can wear not only around the house but also around the block. Now, Stuart and her daughter Kaya, 29, who attended Parsons School of Design, create all of the lingerie for their personal collection–Helena Stuart for Only Hearts–and have it manufactured in the city.
