Haute Event: Miami Science Museum Kicks Off its Annual Galaxy Gala with Private Fashion Show at Neiman Marcus
by Elizabeth Samson

The Miami Science Museum’s top donors and committee members gathered together for a luncheon and private fashion show and performance at Neiman Marcus Bal Harbour to kickoff the Ninth annual Galaxy Gala coming up on Saturday, March 26. The excitement leading up to the event is a result of the highly anticipated unveiling of the museum’s newest building, and the Galaxy Gala will serve as an appropriately extravagant event to celebrate such an addition. The night will certainly be one to remember, as guests will be constantly kept on their toes as they move from one activity to the next, with a few surprises thrown in for good measure.
The Ninth annual Galaxy Gala is sure to be the most lavish event by the Miami Science Museum yet. Each section of the museum will offer something new and exciting for guests to participate in, including a virtual underwater tour where they will journey inside a 600,000-gallon aquarium and several interactive cocktail parties that will be held throughout the museum in solar and lunar themed rooms where guests can participate in silent auctions. For an extra bit of entertainment, there will be animals and performance artists to engage the crowd and keep with the light atmosphere, and a dance floor set up under the planetarium dome for guests to let loose and dance the night away.
For those who may get swept up in all the excitement the Galaxy Gala has to offer, there will be a Big Bang after party immediately following it, where guests can continue to dance to live music played by dance fusion bands as well as two DJ’s while ending the night on a particularly sweet note by indulging in a full dessert bar.
Miami Science Museum’s Ninth annual Galaxy Gala will be held at the JW Marriott Marquis and Hotel Beaux Arts. Tickets are $500 per person or VIP seating at Saturn Ring tables for $2,000 per couple. Tickets for the Big Bang after party are $50 per person.
