Beyond the now famous Orange Chicken, the authentic Chinese and Vietnamese dishes at Caravelle have citizens coming from far and wide to get a sample. This is not your fast food Chinese, the cuisine that is virtually inedible after being in the fridge overnight. From the Peking Duck with hoison sauce to the asparagus soup, every dish is healthily portioned and served with such tantalizing flavors that you'll be hard pressed to find one menu item that doesn't taste like a delicacy.

You've heard of no MSG, but truly healthy Chinese cuisine seems like some kind of food fantasy. Ming's Place offers just that, place your regular array of Chinese favorites. If you're truly feeling the hunger od the dragon, opt for the VIP menu, which includes Shanghai Sweet and Sour Ribs and Salt and Pepper Crispy Prawns. Take-out or dine-in, but be warned: although Mr. Ming has a big heart for all his guests, only 63 can be seated in the restaurant at a time.

At May Dragon, you'll find the gourmet chefs have mastered not only Mandarin, Hunan, Canton and Szechuan cuisines, but also many other regional delicacies. With a four-star rating by The Dallas Morning News, May Dragon may be the highest ranked Chinese joint in town. Go for the Roll Your Own Moo Shi Roll with your choice of meat, or the spicy General Savitz Chicken, a dish you won't find easily at other places.
Yao Fuzi lacks the campy interior of traditional hole-in-the-wall Chinese joints, but perhaps that's part of the charm. The chic interior is just window dressing for the menu, which has delicious versions of your traditional favorites, like Kung Pao Chicken and Beef with Broccoli, as well as interesting twists like Jalapeno Chicken and Tempura Halibut. You'll also find some incredible specialty martinis for an extra cool factor.

Of course, we wouldn't be in Texas if some kind of barbecue didn't make it on the list. First Chinese BBQ has an insanely extensive menu - even more than your normal Chinese eatery - and a lot of these are tender, juicy Asian versions of barbecue dishes. Try the Whole Roast Duck or Marinated Beef Tendon, if you are feeling rather adventurous. The Beef Flat Noodles are hands down the best in town!
