And now, Hawaii has even more reason to love cheese! The Kahala Hotel & Resort has just released their new cheese tasting menu offering the finest and most intensively developed cheese tasting experience the Aloha State has ever experienced.

Working in partnership with The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills, The Kahala Hotel & Resort’s executive pastry chef, Michael Moorhouse is bringing a unique mix of cheese to his menus–many of which aren’t available anywhere else in the state. “My personal goal is to select a perfect selection of cheeses that enhances The Kahala’s unique Hawaiian location and ocean-side ambiance,” explained Moorhouse. “I’m intent on designing a well-crafted, mouthwatering cheese program that varies with the seasons and supports everything local, like all good food, cheese and wine programs should.”

The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills, known for their extensive selection of the rarest, hand-made, farm-fresh cheeses, has the largest assortment of goat’s and sheep’s milk cheeses in America and will be sharing their expansive selection with the Kahala. “I’m on a mission to share with diners the truth about cheese: It is a near-complete, near-perfect food. There’s a real excitement in the cheese world today and we’re bringing it to Hawaii first, thanks to our Partnership with the Kahala” said Norbert Wabnig, owner of the Cheese Store.

The new cheese tasting menu is now available in Kahala dining rooms including Hoku’s, The Plumeria Beach House & The Veranda. It currently features eight artisan cheeses ranging from a classic English Colston-Bassett Stilton blue mold cheese to a Northern Italian Robiola Bosina and will be served with seasonal chutney, fruit gelee and cheesy biscuits. The cheese is available for a flight of 3 for $24, or should you fall in love with one cheese in particular, may be purchased for $8 a piece.

Now, cutting the cheese has a whole new meaning.
