Haute Event: Martha Stewart and Emeril Lagasse to Host 10th Annual Let Them Eat Cake Event for Sobe Wine & Food Festival

On Friday, Feb. 25, the culinary power duo of Emeril Lagasse and Martha Stewart will host Moët Hennessy USA’s highly anticipated tenth anniversary of their “Let Them Eat Cake” event at the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival. The event will take place at the 1111 Lincoln Road by Herzog & de Mueron building, the stunning space that is quickly becoming an architecturally extraordinary Miami Beach landmark.

The day will begin with the awe-inspiring confectionary masterpieces arriving in Miami to top pastry chefs and cake masters from locations in New York, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C. in a ceremonial procession style at 8 a.m. sharp. The fragile treats, making their treacherous journey over the course of two days in FedEx Custom Critical Transportation, will receive five-star treatment to ensure that they arrive undamaged to their nervous creators. Confectionary notables to attend and present the delicacies include Margaret Braun, Jacques Torres, Miami’s own Elena Warrens and Lori Karmel, and Duff Goldman from Charm City Cakes and Food Network’s hit show “Ace of Cakes.”

At 10 p.m. that evening, the party begins! Emeril Lagasse and Martha Stewart will host the much anticipated showcasing of the cakes. Each of the dessert maestros are set to present their own unique signature version of a tenth anniversary treat to be perfectly paired with the evening’s drink of choice – overflowing glasses of Moët & Chandon Champagne. Let them eat cake!
