Haute Event: Hayden Christensen, Russell Simmons, Jacob Latimore at “Vanishing on 7th St” Premiere and After Party
Despite the chilly weather, big names from all realms of entertainment made their way out to the premiere of Brad Anderson’s new film, Vanishing on 7th Street, held at New York City’s IFC Center with an introduction by director Brad Anderson and Cinema Society founder Andrew Saffir. Afterwards, guests braved the cold and made their way to the ensuing after-party at Beauty & Essex, the Lower East Side’s hugely popular hotspot.
Anderson and the stars of his post-apocalyptic horror-thriller, including Hayden Christensen, John Leguizamo, and teenage breakthrough Jacob Latimore, were in attendance at the after-party sponsored by Appleton Estate Rum. Also attending were music celebs Russell Simmons, Eve, and Natasha Bedingfield, MTV stars Louise Roe and Julie Alexandria, Amy Sacco, Alina Cho, Thom Filicia, Alex Lundqvist, Karen Duffy, Irina Pantaeva, Bettina Zilkha, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and many more.
With a guest list like that, it’s sure to be a party. Guests mingled in Beauty & Essex’s chic décor; the trendy spot is a swanky combination of restaurant, lounge, store, and pawn shop, decorated with pearl chandeliers, walls covered with framed lockets, an old cash register, and fabulous costume jewelry for sale. Keeping with the venue’s theme, guests dined on avocado “jewels” on toast alongside lamb sliders, mini bacon pizzas, and sipped on Appleton Estate Rum cocktails to bring them far away from the cold outside as they partied into the night.
