What Made Him Haute: At only 32 years old, the Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard has won five NBA championships rings and an Olympic gold medal.
What Makes Him Haute Now: Bryant had an eventful weekend: he starred in a short film by Robert Rodriguez called The Black Mamba, he was named the 2011 NBA All-Star Game MVP and was honored with a spot on the iconic Hollywood walk of fame. Bryant is the first non-actor to have his own hand and footprint ceremony at legendary Grauman’s Chinese Theater. Jimmy Kimmel hosted the ceremony, and Bryant attended with his wife and two daughters. Bryant joins over 2,000 stars, including directors, musicians and actors, that have also been immortalized in cement.
“I feel like I’ve grown up in this city, and we’ve had a lot of ups and downs, but there we are — five championships, plenty of more to go, and I just feel extremely honored to be able to do this,” Bryant said at the ceremony.
