Drink Up: Nekter Juice Debuts Second Location

Liquid diets might not sound like fun (or if you’re thinking about that kind of liquid diet — too much fun) but take a second look at it by paying a visit to Nekter Juice Bar. They’ve got a location in Costa Mesa that’s filled to the brim with smiling sippers — so of course it was only natural that they’re opening a second spot in Corona del Mar on March 1. With the same selection of juices, you can be sure that this seaside stop will be just as great as the original.

“Nekter is a passion project that was inspired by the lack of healthy, natural and fresh options for juices and smoothies in the area,” says Steve Schulze, who owns Nekter Juice Bar with his wife, Alexis. “My wife and I were surprised and overwhelmed by the sugar and preservative-laden juices and smoothies available in the area that were misleading consumers into thinking they were buying into a healthy lifestyle. As consumers ourselves, we sought out alternatives, all of which were hard to come by, and decided to create our own – one that was honest, affordable and accessible.”

After opening the Costa Mesa location in 2010 and serving up raw and vegan juices, green juice blends, raw nut milk smoothies, and healthy, raw, gluten-free, vegan snacks like acai bowls, the demand was so great that they had to open up a second juice bar. Also popular are their juice cleanses, which have a huge following here in Orange County. So when you’re feeling down or just want to wash away your grogginess, get a jolt with Nektar juice.

Nekter Corona del Mar is located at 2801 E. Pacific Coast Hwy., in Corona del Mar. For more information, visit their official web site at www.nekterjuicebar.com. If you can’t wait for the Corona del Mar location, enjoy Nekter now in Costa Mesa at 474 E. 17th St.
