Possessing an unparalleled flair for combining old school Havana style with new age techniques, it is pretty apparent that James Beard Award-winning Chef Douglas Rodriguez has the right moves to create a delectable dining experience that is so very Miami. And what Miami experience would be complete without the beach? With that in mind, it has been announced that Chef Rodriguez has chosen to relocate his signature restaurant De Rodriguez Cuba to the chic South of Fifth neighborhood on beautiful Miami Beach. Located in the Hilton Bentley Hotel, De Rodriguez Cuba on Ocean will welcome guests with oceanfront views and the best that the aptly named “Godfather of Nuevo Latino Cuisine” has to offer.

De Rodriguez Cuba on Ocean will still hold true to its elegant and modern atmosphere but will take full advantage of its lovely new oceanfront location. Diners can choose to stay in the main dining room where floor-to-ceiling windows open up to the pool deck and allow for that warm ocean breeze to pass through, or dine al fresco and take in one of the world’s most coveted views.

On the food front, diners can expect the same sterling quality and experience. With a new 25-foot marble raw bar, guests can enjoy some of the most delicious seafood, including Chef Rodriguez’s masterful ceviche creations like the Big Eye Tuna and Watermelon, the Maine Lobster Thai infused with coconut water and Thai chili, the Mixed Seafood, and the highly acclaimed Conch and Snapper topped with tomato, red pepper, crispy onions, and garlic. The menu will also feature the dishes that have elevated the De Rodriguez Cuba name, such as the Duck Duo of chive and scallions crepa stuffed with duck ropa vieja, candied walnuts and goat cheese with a crispy duck leg served with tangerine demi-glace, the Cuban favorite, Vaca Frita with avocado and tomato chimichurri, and Chicken Imperial of yellow rice with roasted peppers filled with chicken stew.

The restaurant will have two full bars, one of which is poolside, where guess can sip on their delectable Cuban-style cocktails like the Old Cuban and Pink Elephant. On top of that, De Rodriguez Cuba also features an incredible wine list including Opus 1, Far Niente, and Jordan. After feasting on some of Miami’s most sumptuous fare, continue the Latin-themed evening with some cocktails, dancing, and live music every Thursday through Sunday, including Afro-Cuban Funk group PALO! appearing on the first Thursday of every month.
