Jonathan Adler Opening Boutique in Philly

Holiday shopping alert! You know that best bud with the too-cool loft that is desperate need of some striking yet sassy decor? And the cousin that won’t use a kitchen utensil unless it resembles a woodland creature? And the coworker whose office space could use a bit of, ahem, freshness? Oh, and everyone else on your list? You can call off the wild hunt for perfect gifts for them all right now. As of Monday, December 13, your problem is solved. As of Monday, Philadelphia has its very own Jonathan Adler boutique.

The 13th shop of the free-spirited and fun designer, the Old City space will carry home decor, gifts, bedding, tabletop and more, all boasting the trademark “Happy Chic” vibe and helping to add some funk and flair to the city’s homes.

The two-floor, 3,800-square-foot store will also be the brand’s second largest and will feature a wedding registry for those looking to tie the knot and upgrade their digs simultaneously.

We are pretty sure you’ll take one step inside and be smitten, but try and grab a few things for others while you load up on bold, geometric needlepoint pillows and quirky vases for yourself. Be sure to check out the sleek lacquer game sets (perfect to brighten up Grandma’s bridge club), the nifty themed salt and pepper sets (how many hostess gifts do you need to get this season?) and the adorable Jonathan Adler Junior line, sure to be trending in area nurseries in 2011.

While you are there, why not grab something for us, too? ‘Cause, can you tell we’re a fan?

Jonathan Adler is located at 33 North Third St., www.jonathanadler.com.
