This week Mark Zuckerberg was named Time’s Person of the Year and his company reported it made around $2 billion in revenues in 2010.

What Made Him Haute: Besides creating the world’s most popular social site while studying in Harvard, being named the youngest Forbes billionaire in 2008 and having a successful movie based on him and the invention of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg can now add Time’s Person of the Year to his growing list of accomplishments.

What Makes Him Haute Now: Since its launch in 2004, Facebook now has more than 500 billion users around the world, making it the biggest social network.

“For connecting more than half a billion people and mapping the social relations among them; for creating a new system of exchanging information; and for changing how we all live our lives, Mark Elliot Zuckerberg is Time’s 2010 Person of the Year,” Time said about its choice.

In addition to Zuckerberg’s new highly acclaimed title, Facebook collected more than $2 billion in revenues this year, which is more than twice as much as it collected in 2009, according to Bloomberg. The company, with more than 2,000 employees, was also rated the best place to work with a rating of 4.6 by the career community site Glassdoor.com.

As CEO and co-founder of the highly addicting social site used by adults and teenagers alike, Zuckerberg plans to give a large portion of his wealth to charity.
