On Thursday, Nov. 11, bliss spa at W Scottsdale invited ladies and gents in need of some R&R to gather for an evening of pampering in celebration of author Marcia Fine’s award-winning satire “Stressed in Scottsdale.”

Guests enjoyed a complimentary bliss brownie buffet and hot cocoa bar, as well as signature “Stressed in Scottsdale” cocktails and bags of new Popchips! to try in between receiving mini bliss services, such as an ultra-moisturizing hand treatment or neck and shoulder massage, featuring the holiday collection of products.

Attendees also scored some major swag at 15 percent off for one night only, and every $10 spent earned shoppers a chance to to win a bliss spa experience for two. Several lucky bliss fans even walked away with some prizes awarded during the evening’s drawings, vouchers for such great bliss treatments as the double chocolate pedicure, a shellac manicure, a massage session and more.

A little after 6 p.m., author Marcia Fine read an excerpt of “Stressed in Scottsdale,” one of the books in Fine’s trilogy poking fun at the frivolous side of life in a community where the inhabitants are constantly trying to one-up one another.
