Eau de Dior

Psst. We’re going to let you in on a little secret. We found something that you can’t find in any other city in the United States, right here in Las Vegas.

Dior Beauty at the Shoppes at the Palazzo carries the exclusive La Collection Couturier Parfumeur, a group of 10 rare fragrances made with essences of flowers at their hearts. The perfumes work for men and women. In-house master perfumer Francois Demachy culled through the history of Dior and paired morsels of history with raw ingredients.

It all starts with a series of questions in the fragrance consultation. Do you like your fragrance fresh or intense? Elegant or original? Discreet or outgoing? That leads to three samples that you smell to determine which works for you. You can even smell the raw essences behind the fragrance.

Each comes with a tantalizing tale. New Look 1947 represents Christian Dior’s first fashion show Feb. 12, 1947, when he changed the fashion world. This feminine fragrance bursts with florals.

Mitzah honors Dior’s love of women. He met Mitzah Bricard when he came to Paris, and she became his muse and advisor. This sensual fragrance features spicy Oriental layers.

Granville, Normandy, is the setting of Dior’s childhood home, the inspiration for Granville. This aromatic fragrance blends pine, thyme and rosemary to give you the air Dior breathed in daily.

After his shows, Dior escaped the hubbub of Paris for Milly-La-Foret. This fragrance reminds you of a romantic stroll through the forest with is powdery orange blossom, jasmine, iris and musky notes.

Dior cherished the royal courts of the 18th Century. Cologne Royale captures that era with notes of Sicilian lemon and Italian Neroli.

Florentine iris absolute makes up the heart of Bois D’Argent. The very masculine Vetiver has layers of coffee to honor Dior’s dandy and elegant sense of style.

Ambre Nuit captures the mystery of the Baroque era with its Calabrian bergamot and essence of Turkish rose. Eau Noire brings the black tie spirit wrapped in an aura of mystery that captures the scene at Chateau de la Colle Noire, Dior’s residence in Provence.

Finally, Leather Oud represents Dior’s commitment to the finest fabrics.

The fragrances start at $150 each. For more information, visit Dior Beauty at the Shoppes at the Palazzo or http://www.dior.com/beauty/usa/en/fragrance/lacollection/our_exclusive_collection/lcollectionexclusive.html.
