Brandon Flowers Helps Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Kick Off Concert Series

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas plans to open by offering up flowers as a gift to the city. When the new resort opens to the public at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 15, Brandon Flowers of Las Vegas’ own The Killers will perform an exclusive concert by at The Boulevard Pool at 10 p.m. The concert kicks off the resort’s series of curated musical events that includes performances by Jay-Z and Coldplay on New Year’s Eve.

On opening night, the Cosmopolitan will introduce its series of touring and up-and-coming entertainment acts taking stage at casino floor spots Book & Stage, Bond and The Chandelier. Mayer Hawthorne, the newest contributor to the retro musical genre, will perform two sets at Book & Stage at 9 and 11 p.m. and will continue nightly through Dec. 18.

Bond, located just off the North entrance on Las Vegas Boulevard, will feature Beats Antique, known for their live electronic and world roots music, merging modern technology, live instrumentation and seductive performances beginning at  8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. and continue nightly through Saturday, Dec. 18. Australian sisters Liv and Mim Nervo, commonly known as Nervo, will bring their clever lyrics, indelible melodies and bold, sassy electro-pop sound to The Chandelier Dec. 15 for a deejay set from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. and will continue nightly through Dec. 18. Performances are open to the public.

Flowers will be performing songs from his debut solo album, “Flamingo.” If you want tickets to the Brandon Flowers show, check the Cosmopolitan’s social media channels on Facebook and Twitter as well as radio giveaways in Las Vegas. If you can’t get in to the show, you can still see it on the Las Vegas Strip when the performance is broadcast live on the resort’s 65-foot digital marquee.

That’s just the beginning. The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will feature artists at the forefront of the touring world and emerging artists that will inspire the next musical movements coupled with its technology-driven venues. Concerts at the Boulevard Pool, set above the Strip in an intimate concert experience, will offer the big live concerts. Book & Stage, an upscale sports and entertainment lounge on the casino floor, boasts live deejays. Bond plans to offer house music, while The Chandelier with its dramatic inhabitable three-story chandelier, features the most progressive deejays playing the latest in mainstream and underground.
