Lamborghini Previews the New Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera for Chicago’s Young, Rich and Fabulous
On Thursday, the young, rich and fabulous (translate: Chicago’s Euro crowd with modelesque girl on arm) gathered at the River East Arts Center for Driven, a haute event honoring the new Lamborghini models and partnership with Calloway golf. The car show lined up outside in a rainbow of candy colors was nothing compared to the new Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera on display for guests, as well as the Gallardo Super Trofeo from Lamborghini and Blancpain’s one-make racing series in Europe. Among the cocktails and hors d’oeuvres was a preview of the Lamborghini fashion line, as well as golf simulators to perfect your swing.
The Lamborghini-Calloway partnership introduced a new, co-developed material called Forged Composite™, which was introduced at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. The power-to-weight ratio and weight reduction serve as the key for future super sports cars and carbon fiber as the material to achieve these goals. Callaway’s expertise in specific technologies is strategic for Lamborghini research projects with carbon fiber applications to develop lighter and stronger cars. This is one Italian Stallion we like seeing.
