Every shoe in your closet has a story behind it. Maybe you don’t remember them all, but I am sure that some stick out from the bunch. Like those great Louboutins you scored on sale at Jeffrey last season, or the rockin’ Jimmy Choo brown leather stiletto boots you splurged on for winter.
Whatever your shoe history may be, it is time to break out some of your favorites and join Guiding Light actress-cum-author Tina Sloan on Oct, 5, for CelibriTea at the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta.
While some of us may not be home for the daily soap operas, Tina Sloan is somewhat of a veteran on the circuit, starring for 30 years as Lillian in Guiding Light. When Guiding Light came to an end, Sloan sat back and reflected on her life and all its changes over the years. And thus, Changing Shoes was born. Starting as a one woman show, Sloan has recently released a book aptly called Changing Shoes to coincide with her act. The book, just released this September, is more than a tale of shoes. It is about getting older, not old, with style, humor and grace; and one woman’s search for meaning in a closet full of (designer) shoes.
She will be visiting with the women at the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta, this coming Tuesday from 2-3:30 p.m. Make sure to reserve your spot for an afternoon of champagne, tea, sandwiches and sweets with Tina Sloan. Corinna Allen of CBS will be hosting the shoe-filled afternoon with the girls.
Tickets are $40. Don’t forget to R.S.V.P to 404.253.3840. Seating is limited. Autographed copies of Changing Shoes will be available for purchase.

Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta is located at 75 14th St.
