Haute Vintage: Haute Vintage Stores in Los Angeles

Vintage, vintage everywhere, but wherever do I go?

Decades & Decades Two
For these vintage stores, the name really does say it all. Both Decades and Decades Two carry some of the best vintage and non-vintage finds in Los Angeles. Vintage designers include Chanel and Lanvin while Decades has become infamously know for their collection of non-vintage Birkin bags. Owner and fashion icon Cameron Silver created Decades and Decades Two, a consignment store located downstairs, to bring back elegant and expensive vintage from eras like the 80s and 90s. Featuring Italian designers and any high-end name you could think of, Decades and Decades Two are musts for all things vintage.

Decades is located at 8214 ½ Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, Calif.

Jet Rag
Though they really should call it the King of the vintage stores, Jet Rage on La Brea is probably your number one source when it comes to scoring the perfect rocker tee or set of vintage undergarments. With both men’s and women’s clothes, Jet Rag has every possible vintage item you could think of, from oversized cardigans to Hawaiian shirts galore. Though the two-story store looks like your grandma’s basement times ten, the 1970’s vibe makes it exciting to furiously thumb through racks and racks of clothing. Dollar Sundays have also become a popular activity where piles of clothes are placed outside, in front of the store, where people rummage through piles of clothing to find the best one dollar finds.

Jet Rag is located at 825 N. La Brea Ave., Los Angeles, Calif.

Resurrection
A Rachel Zoe favorite, Resurrection Vintage on Melrose Avenue has become a favorite for celebrities and those who enjoy dressing up in vintage dresses and garb and for those who simply cannot get enough of a designer brand. Though you have to be let up after ringing a buzzer, the store itself may transport you back sometime between the 1960s and 1980s where owners Mark Haddawy and Katy Rodriguez collect vintage and historic clothing and accessories with stores in Los Angeles and New York. Though you may not get to see the paparazzi proof, it is said that many celebrities turn to Resurrection for all of their high-end vintage needs.

Resurrection Vintage is located at 8006 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, Calif.

Wasteland
Though you definitely won’t find any waste, Wasteland is home to vintage and non-vintage clothing found on Melrose. Though you’ll be certain to find some high-end names such as Louboutin or Chanel, you’ll also be able to find great clothing and accessories that were sold by local fashionistas themselves. Even though Wasteland is considered a consignment store, the buyers carefully pick and choose what they want to purchase according to style, trend and season. Wasteland buyers will even go to the homes of those who own large vintage collections looking to sell to the store.

Wasteland is located at 7428 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, Calif.
