Soho Beach House Opening in Miami This Fall

The Soho House Group welcomes its newest club and hotel in Miami to its prestigious portfolio of global properties with the opening of Soho Beach House this October. The brand’s third North American property will be situated oceanfront in Mid-Beach. A boutique hotel, Cowshed Spa and Cecconi’s restaurant will be open to the public, accompanying a private members’ club.

“The first time I stepped foot in Miami I was blown away by the sexy vibe, the beautiful art deco buildings and incredible beaches — I knew instantly I wanted to bring a Soho House there,” Nick Jones, Soho House founder, says. “We have created properties in New York and L.A., and introducing flip flop glamour to Miami seemed like the natural next step for us. The Beach House is just north of the South Beach strip. It is a place where I hope our members and guests will meet, sleep and definitely play…I am incredibly excited about throwing our doors open this fall — it’s going to be fun.”

Jones teamed up with designer Martin Brudnizki to give Soho Beach House South American style, playing off of Miami Beach history, while offering a taste of the brand’s characteristic European glamour. The historic Art-Deco Sovereign Hotel has been revamped and expanded to include a 16-story oceanfront tower, 44 hotel guest rooms, six suites and a variety of members and hotel guest areas. Six different sized rooms, all touched with South American influences, range from 350 to 1,500 square feet, offering ocean and bay views. Guest rooms are decorated with one-of-a-kind pieces of antique furniture, king-sized beds, Samsung 40-inch flat screen TVs, iPod docks, drinks cabinets and rainforest showers with signature Cowshed products. A select group of rooms boast free-standing bathtubs and private terraces overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

Upon stepping into the hotel, the Drawing Room greets guests with a Cuban coffee bar and rare cigar collection befitting the Miami property and juxtaposing traditional elements like Soho House’s art collection and a grand piano. Also located on the ground floor is Cecconi’s, a modern day classic Italian restaurant with acclaimed outposts in Mayfair, London and West Hollywood. Cecconi’s will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving Venetian-inspired dishes to the public seven days a week. The elegant garden and retractable awning offer an elegant outdoor dining experience. Once outside, guests find entertainment at the 100-foot-long pool, tropical Tiki Bar and sun-soaked Beach Club.

Further luxuries abound the second fFloor. Pay homage to 1940s Cuba and take in stunning views of the Atlantic while drinking and dining at Club Bar. The Screening Snug features full digital screening capabilities and a selection of comfortable seating areas, making it the perfect space for gatherings, parties, and member events. Soho Beach House caters to wellness as much as comfort, luxury, dining and entertainment with Cowshed Spa and Active. Cowshed Spa proffers six spacious ocean facing mani-pedi chairs, five private treatment rooms including a couple’s suite, steam rooms, a relaxation area, changing facilities and Cowshed’s first Blow Dry Bar, while Cowshed Active, the ocean front gym, features floor-to-ceiling windows, a full range of equipment as well as personal trainers, yoga and Pilates classes.

The eighth floor hosts the adults-only Plunge Pool overlooking the beach and ocean. Sip a cocktail from the adjacent bar in one of the double sun loungers lining the pool. Work meets play at the Club Library, where guests can relax, read or work from a private comfortable space with lounge seating, wood paneling, bookcases, ocean views and waiters on hand. The adjoining Private Dining Room is ideal for an intimate group of 16.
