Stars of stage and screen showed up en masse to work the phones at the Stand Up 2 Cancer event.
If you called in that night, you might have found yourself talking to Rob Lowe, Oscar winner Sally Field, Hangover and “Community” star Ken Jeong, or “NCIS’s” Mark Harmon.

Michael Douglas — recently diagnosed with Stage 4 throat cancer, which he candidly talked about just last week on Late Night with David Letterman — made a special appearance as well, stating “Cancer doesn’t care how many Oscars you have won or how many tough guys you’ve played.”

Musical entertainment included Lady Antebellum, the legendary Stevie Wonder, and Herbie Hancock.

While the numbers for the night aren’t in yet, the biggest donation of the night came from Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig and his wife, Suzanne, who donated a cool $30 million bucks. The first Stand Up 2 Cancer aired in over 170 countries and raised a reported $100 million; let’s hope this year is even better, as every cent goes to research.
