Celebrate both the “Art of the Cocktail” at the Halekulani and the Kahala Food & Wine Classic all weekend long. Both multi-day events are sure to feature incredible cuisine, innovative cocktails and ultra-cool scenes in the best of locales. How’s a foodie, wine-o or scenester to choose? Friday Sept. 17: Art of the Cocktail Kick Off Cocktail Party

From 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hau Terrace lanai, get up close and personal with the world’s finest mixologists while sampling their spirited creations and enjoying delicious passed hors d’ouevres over live jazz music. This has got to be the hautest way to kick off the weekend.

Saturday, Sept. 18: Art of the Cocktail Day Two

Spend the entire day at the Halekulani in lively seminars, discussions and classes hosted by the crème de la crème of mixology. Get your boozy knowledge on by learning about the evolution of the cocktail with experts Julie Reiner, Dale Degroff, Tony Abou-Ganim and Simon Ford. Learn where the industry was, where it is today and the future of cocktail innovation. Talk classic gin, tequila and island-friendly spirits before capping off your spirit-friendly day by getting some tips on stocking and tending your own bar at home.

Sunday, Sept. 19: A Boozy Brunch

Wrap up the Halekulani’s “Art of the Cocktail” extravaganza with a delectable bloody Mary brunch. This event will allow patrons to get interactive by creating their own signature “bloody” to enjoy with the sure to be scrumptious three-course brunch.

Friday, Sept. 17: Tribeca Goes Hawaiian

Wanna skip straight to haute cuisine? Drew Nieporent from the Big Apple’s landmark restaurant Tribeca Grill will be hosting an innovative reception and dinner in the Koko Head Lawn. Nieporent along with Tribeca Grill co-owner Stephen Lewandowski will team up to create a delectable NY meets HI six-course menu creatively paired with award-winning wines from Far Niente.

Saturday, Sept. 18: Kahala Food and Wine Classic Day Two

Treat yourself to an entire day at the Kahala Hotel & Resort starting with Cooking Demonstration: The Secrets of the Tribeca Grill Kitchen at 11 a.m. followed by Wine-ology with Far Niente Winery hosted by Larry Maguire. Then learn to blend and taste cigars at 3 p.m. before A True Taste of New York, the finale and dinner. After a foodie-filled day, enjoy after-dinner drinks and cigars with Davidoff.
