Dori’s World: Fasting and Feasting All in One Weekend
This weekend was filled with fasting, eating and some playing. Friday night was a great holiday dinner at Nancy and Jeff Lance’s house before the fast. Saturday was Yom Kippur, so it was very mellow, fasting and relaxing with my newly engaged friend Dylan Lauren. Then the big breakfast at Lizzie and Jon Tisch’s house. They had both family and friends there. One of their friends runs 50 marathons a year!
On Sunday my friend Serra Kirdar was in town from Dubai. She, Masha Mimran and I went to see a play called “Love, Loss, and What I Wore” starring Nora Ephron and Jamie-Lynn Sigler. What a great off-Broadway show! Later that night we went to Laetitia Mimran’s birthday party at Lavo with Jessica Mimran, Richie Akiva, Marielle and Edmond Safra, Badr Jafar, Mitch Krieger, Yue-Sai Kan. Lavo is a great new addition to New York City! Great job, Rich Wolf, Noah Tepperberg and Jason Strauss!
