Akin to its nearby neighbor MIT, Miracle’s menu is cleverly disguised on a chalkboard periodic table on one of its walls. The burgers are served simply – plain, or with one of four cheeses (we like ours with the super crumbly bleu cheese) – and for good reason: why mess with perfection when it’s already on your plate?

Sister restaurant of Miracle of Science, Audobon Circle is a haute hipster hangout: its sign is muted amidst the hectic pace of Kenmore Square. Vegetarians and carnivores alike will delight in the house-made bean burger, which leaves just enough room to enjoy one of the many rare liquors the bar has on pour.

To see, to be seen – that is the question Stephanie’s patrons often ask themselves as they sit at one of Boston’s most paparazzi-friendly haute spots. The venue offers only one burger selection – its infamous Oversized Stephi Burger – the only one, we’ve found, they really need.

As the name implies, Four Burgers is about its four burger offerings: all natural, grass-fed beef; vegetarian; turkey, and wild salmon. Accompaniments with each burger complement its type (we especially love the cranberry chutney that sits atop the turkey burger), and though the atmosphere itself is low-key, its taste is off the charts.

Known for their martinis just as well as they are for their gourmet burgers, Match is a burger joint like no other. Slip into one of their lounge-style booths and relax to the pulse of their downtempo soundtracks: when you bite into one of their speciality (we recommend the lamb), you’ll feel like you’ve got all the time in the world.
