Kiss the Chef: The Haute 5 Chef’s Tables in San Francisco

Though chef’s tables are not an extremely common feature of most San Francisco restaurants, there are a few who hosts these VIP tables. Chef’s tables are placed inside or adjacent to the kitchen providing a special dining experience to special guests.

NOPA

NOPA’s chef’s counter is a bar-style seating located right along the kitchen. It may be a little less formal than the traditional chef’s table, but it gets you right into the action of the kitchen.

One Market Restaurant

One Market Restaurant provided a unique experience to their chef’s table customers. The plates are hand delivered and described to guests who sit at a booth located in the back of the kitchen.

Kokkari Estiatorio Restaurant

Kokkari Estiatorio Restaurant’s chef’s table is located in their Kouzina room. It can host up to 24 people in a semi-private space.

5A5 Steak Lounge

This chef’s table has a view of the kitchen as well as the back outdoor patio. Guests are treated to a special chef’s tasting menu with their service. It has a seating capacity of 12 people.

Perbacco

Perbacco’s chef’s table is located right next to the kitchen and gives eager foodies a chance to get a sense of all of the kitchen’s action. They can accommodate up to eight guests.
