What Made Him Haute: This Austrian-born restaurateur and celebrity chef has built a culinary empire that includes fine dining establishments, franchise restaurants, catering, cookbooks, and products. His flagship restaurant, Spago, is still the go-to establishment for Hollywood’s elite, and in 2008, the James Beard Foundation nominated Puck for the Outstanding Restaurateur award.

What Makes Him Haute Now: The star chef and restaurateur opened WP24 by Wolfgang Puck, featuring haute Asian fusion overlooking the L.A. skyline on the 24th floor of The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles at L.A. Live in mid-May. Outside of Los Angeles, Puck’s newest locale is Wolfgang Puck Pizzeria & Cucina located inside Crystals at CityCenter in Las Vegas in the former Brasserie PUCK space. The bistro serves Italian pastas and specialty dishes, alongside his famed wood-oven baked pizzas. Last week, Puck signed a partnership with Restaurant Associates to set up at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia this fall, and is rumored to be in negotiations to run Cadence Restaurant.

Whether in L.A., or dining around the country, pick up one of Puck’s new ready-to-drink bottled iced coffees. The special blend of slow brewed organic, lower calorie coffees come in four flavors and can be found on the West Coast at Henry’s, Farmers Market, Gelson’s, Albertson’s, Whole Foods Market, Bristol Farms, and Sunflower Market. Wolfgang Puck Express Cafes plan to carry them nationwide.

Wolfgang Puck’s dishes has people all over the globe seeking out a spot at his famous restaurants but now, an option will exist at home. Campbell Soup Company has partnered with the revered celebrity chef to introduce four restaurant quality, ready-made Wolfgang Puck Italian Sauces.

Fashion label Guess, Marie Claire, and renowned chef Wolfgang Puck hosted a private party in support of Save the Children’s humanitarian efforts in East Africa. The intimate gathering was held at Guess’s Beverly Hills boutique and was personally catered by the famed Austrian chef himself.

Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck owns numerous restaurants and even has his own line of coffee so it’s not a surprise that he is a discerning customer when he goes out. Puck recently revealed that he not does he prefer to avoid Starbucks, he actually think their coffee is terrible.

With the upcoming 2012 Olympics, London is positively abuzz with anticipation. Adding to the excitement is the opening of an installment of Wolfgang Puck’s celebrated CUT steakhouse in London, marking the famed Austrian chef’s debut of a restaurant in London and Europe as a whole.
