Environmentally Minded Hair Salon Opens In Southampton Village

A new salon, Revolve Hair, located opposite the movie theater in Southampton, offers hair and nail services in a creative, innovative, and newly remodeled space featuring cutting edge styling stations and an alluring lounge area where clients just may want to linger.

Local stylist Alicia Cook is thrilled to provide clients with a relaxing salon experience using the industries most innovative techniques in her very own salon, while assuring it reflects her personal commitment in taking care of the environment. “The hair industry is one of the hardest on the environment and I feel it’s important to counteract that impact in ways we can,” Cook says.

A highlight of the salon, aside from the modern, earth-toned interior design, is the salon’s partnership with a non-profit organization called, Matter of Trust. “We mail them our haircut clippings and they are woven into highly absorbent mats used for collecting and containing petroleum spills. It’s a great cause, I’m proud to be part of it.”

Revolve Hair also carries an environmentally preferred product line called, Privé, which is designed without the use of sulfates, paraben, or gluten and has instilled a recycling program to cut back on packaging wastes. After using the product, simply return the package to Revolve Hair and it will be passed back to Privé where it will be recycled or re-used. Even some of the furniture and accessories within the salon are handmade in eco-friendly environments without the use of fossil fuels.

Revolve Hair is kid friendly, offering services for men, women, and children. Aside from the outstanding service and serene atmosphere, the prices are incredbible with haircuts ranging from $50 to $70. The salon is open Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Revolve Hair, 34 Hill St., Southampton, 631.377.3555.
