Discover New Orleans Inside Barneys New York
We know what you’re doing this Sunday, and it involves gumbo, jambalaya and jazz. Want to take a guess? If you said heading to Fred’s at Barneys New York in Scottsdale for Bourbon Street Brunch, then that’s exactly right.
Beginning this Sunday, Aug. 29, the upscale department store eatery Fred’s at Barneys New York inside Scottsdale Fashion Square will introduce its weekly New Orleans-style brunch, complete with jazz music and everyone’s favorite authentic dishes. Every Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., enjoy a three-course prix-fixe menu that leaves no dish lacking.
“Eye openers” include a selection of the usual suspects: bellinis, mimosas, hurricanes and Fred’s Bloody Marys. Sip along while enjoying savory spoonful after spoonful of your choice of a country-style gumbo or a strawberry parfait with housemade granola to whet the palate before tucking into your main course.
The list of tantalizing Louisana-style entrees to choose from for entrees includes:
- Eggs Sardou, poached eggs over artichokes with creamed spinach and hollandaise sauce
- Eggs Couchon de Lait, braised pork debris over black pepper biscuits with poached eggs, mushrooms and bourbon béchamel
- Blackened salmon, with parsley new potatoes, asparagus and lemon butter sauce
- Traditional-style seafood jambalaya
- Classic shrimp etouffee
Then all that’s left to decide is the praline and vanilla bean gelato sundae, beignets, Creole bread pudding or a good ol’ Mississippi Mud Pie. Choices, choices.
And finally, with brunch behind you, how better to officially start your day than by perusing the latest fashion styles inside Barneys? We suggest the denim if you love a good sale!
