Back to School: The Haute 5 Kid’s Clothing Stores in Los Angeles

brentwood country mart

The under-age stylish set does not want for options in Los Angeles. Our city is full of boutiques catering to newborns, tykes, tweens and teens. Here’s a Haute 5:

Poppy Store

Located in the Brentwood Country Mart, Poppy is the rare kids store to offer clothes for newborns through age 12, from local and International designers like CdeC, Petit Bateau, Antik Batik, Vilebrequin, carefully chosen by owners Jenny Belushi (Mrs. Jim) and Heather Whitney. Wondering where celebs like Reese Witherspoon and Cindy Crawford are shopping for their kids? They start here.

Poppy Store is located at 225 26th street, Santa Monica, 424.354.4114

La La Ling

How many boutiques have their own theme songs? This hip kid boutique in Los Feliz can claim that, and a lot more. Stylish looks by Claesens, Trumpette, Harajuku Lovers, Little Ella…cool toys, books, Paperie, and even a unique T-Shirt club! La La Ling is located at 1810 North Vermont Avenue, 323.664.4400

pumpkinheads

Pumpkinheads

Now, this is a store with a difference. Jamara Ghalayini started the high end boutique with the express intent of using it to aid less fortunate kids in the community. Fifteen percent of their profits go to local children’s charities. But that’s not the only reason to shop here. For kids up to 14, cute designer wear from Stella Industries, IKKS, Daily Threads and many more, even vintage.

Pumpkinheads is located at 11640 San Vicente Boulevard, 310.207.6760

elegant child

The Elegant Child of Beverly Hills

Though this boutique focuses on babies, it’s so impressive in that regard that it must be included. Labels like Sophie the Giraffe, Walcot Weavers, Fattamano, Mustela, with specialties like personalized blankets and “diaper cakes” that make an unforgettable impression. Also the best website I’ve seen in this category.

The Elegant Child of Beverly Hills is located at 369 South Doheny Drive, Beverly Hills, 310.277.3131

my little bebe

mylittlebebe

San Marino and Pasadena parents will adore this store, which offers not only cute comfortable and classic togs for babies and toddlers, but also furniture, old style perambulators, toys and more.

mylittlebebe is located at 956 Huntington Drive, San Marino, 626. 588.2810
