The Setai Launches Exciting Theme Nights
by Isis Darios

Who doesn’t love a theme party? It’s a chance to dress up and live in a fantasy for one night. Well, The Restaurant at The Setai South Beach is offering something even better: multiple theme nights. The Setai’s theme nights include decadent foods, lavish drinks, and invigorating live entertainment as part of its summer-long five-year anniversary celebration.

Every Wednesday beginning Aug. 4 from 7 to 11 p.m., The Restaurant will host its Flavors of India night, boasting a four-course Indian tasting menu. There will be three flavorful choices for each course offered. Afterward, guests can conclude their meal with a soothing glass of homemade Chai tea served with petit fours. The delectable meals, prepared by internationally celebrated Indian chefs brought in especially to lend their talent to Flavors of India, are $60 per person. On Aug. 11, Suvir Saran, chef of Devi in New York City and noted author and TV personality, will be joining The Setai kitchen staff. The smell of exotic spices is sure to fill the air as you take in the Flavors of India.

The theme festivities continue on Thursdays, starting Aug. 5 at 7 p.m. with Thursday Night Jazz at The Bar & Courtyard in The Setai. Those in company will enjoy a sampling of local and national jazz musicians performing live classic, Latin, and smooth jazz. To complement the smooth sounds are specials on Taittinger Champagne and a delicious signature summer cocktail menu so you can have something to sip under the stars. Premier jazz vocalist Stephanie Jordan will be performing at the opening of Thursday night jazz.

There is no better way to toast to the end of a long week than with The Setai’s Dim Sum and Champagne Fridays, starting Aug. 13. Every other month a dim sum master will join The Setai’s staff to prepare appetizing meals accompanied with a Champagne menu. Diners will have eight unique plates to choose from, with the option to select an extended chef’s tasting menu and wine pairings. The Restaurant will be open for dinner from 7 p.m. to midnight and the menu is $75 per person. The Setai’s theme nights end on Friday, but have no fear, the festivities recommence the following week with new opportunities to indulge yourself.

The Setai is located at 2001 Collins Avenue on South Beach. Dinner served nightly from 7 to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 7 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. Reduced valet parking is available for diners; reservations suggested at 305.520.6400 or setaidining@ghmamericas.com; more information, visit www.setai.com/anniversary.
