Prada Launches E-Commerce in the States Today

Exciting new news on the e-commerce front: Today Prada has launched their E-Store in the United States, Alaska, and Puerto Rico. Consumers can now turn to www.prada.com for their fix of luxurious products focusing on leather goods for men and women, as well as eyewear.

Up until this point, Prada has led a content driven website allowing consumers and fashion aficionadas a peek into the world of this renowned luxury fashion house. With the ‘Trembled Blossoms’ and ‘Fallen Shadows’ original animations by James Lima, nine short movie projects produced by nine young and talented directors, and the online charity auction of one-of-a-kind pieces available online, www.prada.com has always provided a magical and accessible world for web surfers to visit.

The addition of E-commerce is an exciting and promising element for Prada, whose major competitors in leather goods and accessories, like Louis Vuitton, have already been successful with their online shopping components. Prada takes the interactive elements of this launch seriously, offering visitors different components including content, services, and products. Their E-Gift feature allows consumers to purchase fabulous gifts for their friends, which will then be delivered to the home of the lucky person with a personalized card.

The addition of E-Commerce to the Prada site is certainly just another distraction from our 9 to 5, but it is absolutely the right move for Prada. It will keep them relevant and in-demand as consumers continue to turn to E-commerce platforms to satisfy their shopping addiction.
