Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim: Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Take Miami
by Sherri Balefsky

The Kardashian trio was in town Friday evening for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim to help support their newest entrepreneurial venture: Beach Bunny Swimwear. Each of the sisters teamed up with the trendy swimwear brand to create their own signature styles for the new collection.

Though the Kardashians themselves did not model in the show (as was rumored), sexy supermodels Jessica White from Sports Illustrated and Maybelline’s Lisalla Montenegro did. Instead, the ladies sat front row and center as the runway models strutted their stuff. Kim looked chic in a provocative silvery dress by Preen. Kourtney and Khloe were also dressed to impress with Khloe in leopard top and black high waisted skirt, and Kourtney in a one-strap silky cocktail dress.

The Kardashian name certainly brought extra buzz and attention to the Beach Bunny show. Immediately upon arrival, dozens of fans swarmed them to try and sneak a quick photo. However, their appearance did not take away from the collection itself, which incorporated themes like Old Hollywood, Safari Glam, and Sailor Chic, and featured pieces that combined elements from classic swimwear and upscale lingerie. We were especially intrigued by the amount of nontraditional swimsuits that appeared. In particular, there were several one-piece suits with unique cutouts and shimmery embellishments.

The collection’s designer, Angela Chittenden says she wanted, “Something that would let women show off their bodies, feel sexy and confident, glamorous, flirty, and fun all at the same time.” The Kardashian girls are a perfect match for this prototype, as all three of them exude this sort of contagious, confident mystique. And the models certainly conveyed this throughout the show with their sexy smirks, long strides, and swaying hips to the beat of the music.
