In a city where pop culture dominates, it’s crucially important to support the creative arts. That’s why LAND—the Los Angeles Nomadic Division—is so worthwhile. Created by a former curator at the Whitney Museum of American art and a curator at the Los Angeles County Museum of Modern Art, LAND is poised to curate site- and situation-specific contemporary art projects.

Planned as an annual event, LAND’s first benefit will take place this July 14^th and 15^th, each night sure to be a uniquely unforgettable experience. On Wednesday the 14^th, LAND patron Eugenio Lopez—one of the world’s top 100 contemporary art collectors—will open his house for an intimate cocktail reception and dinner hosted by co-chairs John Baldessari, Lori DeWolfe, James Franco, Liz Goldwyn, Salma Hayek Pinault and Francois-Henri Pinault.

Sound like a “haute” ticket? Consider a 10-person table package: For $10,000, the Adventurer’s table also includes tickets for all to the following night; For $15,000, the Explorer’s table also includes VIP tickets for all to the following night and two limited edition ceramic works by Artemio (one of his works pictured above); For $25,000, the Conqueror’s table also includes VIP tickets for all to the following night and one limited edition portfolio by José León Cerrillo (his work, below).

On Thursday the 15th, a larger cocktail party will be held at the Sunset Tower hotel. The Gift Horse Project, a collective of nearly two dozen musicians and songwriters including Rain Phoenix, will create distinct performances for each night. The Moor will also perform on the 15^th.

New works by several LAND artists will also be displayed and available for purchase each night.
