The Star Diamond Standard
by Joe Cinque
On June 28, 2010, I had the distinguished honor of presenting the Star Diamond Award to Ms. Twyla Tharp, a true mentor to the performing arts worldwide and one of New York’s best dancers/choreographers. She is also the director of the Broadway smash, Come Fly Away, a musical tribute to Frank Sinatra. With this award, we are confident she’ll be dancing with the stars for years to come.
The moon man himself, astronaut Buzz Aldrin, received the coveted Star Diamond Award for his commitment to scientific discovery and to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the first moon landing. Being the pioneer he is, he is no stranger to the stars. We thought it was about time that the stars gave a little back.
We’ve had privilege to give many awards to some amazing recipients since the year began and were graced to give another to baseball legend Tommy Lasorda. Tommy loved The Star Diamond Award as much as the baseball diamonds he has seen in his great past.
Hawaii is a beautiful destination that makes postcard photos come to life. Walking around the islands, you simply don’t get the full view of luxury Hawaii has to offer. That is why I recommend Blue Hawaiian Helicopter tours. The company’s quality of service is as excellent as the routes they travel.
We here at Star Diamond World have multiple ways of exploring the globe for vacation treasures. By air, by land, or by sea, such aboard MS Europa cruise line. MS Europa’s top notch hospitality and its Six Star Diamond Award-wining service makes this jewel “The Grand Hotel of the High Seas.”
Please enjoy all the wonderful travels presented in this issue of Haute Living.
Best Wishes,
