What Made Her Haute: In the business world, she made her name known at the Charles Schwab Corp., but her official titles and responsibilities have been many, including CEO of Sugar Bowl Ski Resort; president and CEO of the San Francisco Symphony; CEO of J.R. Bechtle & Co.; vice chairman of Charles and Helen Schwab Family Foundation; and vice chairman of the National Park Foundation.
What Makes Her Haute Now: Bechtle remains a giant among men in the arts and financial industries in San Francisco. In June, Bechtle was awarded the Museum of Performance & Design’s 2010 San Francisco Arts Medallion. The Charles Schwab Corp. has been ranked at No. 449 on the Forbes Global 2000 in 2010.
