Watch the San Francisco Giants in Luxury

Nothing says “summer in San Francisco” like a night at AT&T Park for a Giant’s ballgame. While the rest of the fans crowd the bleachers or crane their necks from View Reserve seats, you will be enjoying the game in luxury from these awesome suites.

Lexus Batter’s Box

If you are a true Giants fan and come to the ballpark for one reason, to watch the game, these seats are perfect for you. This luxury suite is located slightly below the field level on the first base line, giving you an up-close-and-personal view of the action. If you are lucky enough to snag the seats closest to home plate, you are guaranteed to be on television the entire game. You can easily see yourself on TV on the multiple flat screens implanted into the wall. This is great addition to the game, because you can experience the live action, while also seeing what the viewer at home is experiencing. You won’t have to miss a second of the game, because the section has dedicated waiters for food and beverages.

Virgin America Loft at McCovey Cove

Debuting in 2009, this luxury box is debatably the most unique AT&T ballpark experience. Placed in the right outfield along the old school scoreboard, it is positioned just 309 feet from home plate and only 10 feet off the field. The location is unparalleled as you not only get the view of field from the loft’s deck, but also the scenery of McCovey Cove out the back side. The benefit of renting this suite goes beyond just the location. Your guests have a separate entrance to the suite from the outside of the ballpark, which means no waiting in line. They also have a private elevator, private bathroom, and custom temperature controls for those chilly San Francisco evenings. The suite contains numerous flat screen televisions and a private kitchen.

The Legends Club

For larger parties, the best option in the ballpark is The Legends Club, located on the Club Level. It can hold up to 100 people in a very luxurious setting. The suite is accented with wood and leather furniture, granite countertops and flat screen televisions. The patio opens into a panoramic view of the ballpark. Rental of this suite includes a cuisine package with delectable treats from Bon Appetit catering. In addition, your party will get a special scoreboard shout-out.

For information regarding the rental of these lush suites, contact a Giants Sales Executive at 415.972.2298.

Why Camp When You Can Glamp?

Some may call it anti-camping, but we here at Haute Living, we just call it luxury. Glamping, which stands for glamorous camping, is the perfect vacation option for those who love nature but don’t love roughing it. Long gone are the days of uncomfortable sleeping arrangements, insect-invested camp sites, and general lack of hygiene. The glamping craze is sweeping the nation, so here are a couple of Northern California locations to add to your to-do list.

Costanoa Coastal Lodge and Camp, Pescadero, CA

The bungalows at Costanoa are a relaxing, yet decadent way to spend a vacation. These tent cabins come in two sizes. They have smaller tents for up to two guests or you can reserve a family bungalow for parties of three or more. Though the bungalows are made of metal frames covered in canvas, they all include electricity, sliding windows and a locking door. Their restrooms, also known as comfort stations, feature indoor hot showers, heated concrete floors, a 24-hour dry sauna and an outdoor fireplace. You can also enjoy the serenity and peace of nature in their outdoor hot tub. In addition to these great amenities, the resort features a spa, restaurant and a variety of group activities, including wine tours.

Costanoa Coastal Lodge and Camp is located at 2001 Rossi Road at Hwy 1, Pescadero, Calif. Reservations can be made by calling 650.879.1100.

Treebones Resort, Big Sur, California

To experience all the stunning views of Big Sur in style, glamp at the yurts at Treebones Resort. These 16 rounded tent cabins have all the comforts of home, plus an amazing ocean view. All yurts include queen-sized beds with linens, hot and cold running water, heating and electricity, and wooden floors. They feature French doors with a private observation deck. Through the yurt’s sky dome, you can even sleep under the stars. The resort has a heated pool and hot tub with ocean views and cuisine that will keep you satisfied. Not only is their lounge home to the Wild Coast restaurant, but they also have an outdoor sushi and tapas bar.

Treebones Resort is located at 71895 Highway 1, Big Sur, Calif. Reservations can be made by calling 877.424.4787.

Al Fresco: The Haute 5 Outdoor Dining Restaurants in Dubai

One of the best things about Dubai is the year round sunshine. Yet even as we enjoy the sun during the summer it’s hard to ignore the scorching temperatures. Dubai dwellers nevertheless make the most of the heat. Many restaurants renowned for their lovely outdoor settings have easily adapted and permit guests to continue al fresco dining while overlooking some of Dubai’s most beautiful of views.

Zheng He’s

Renowned for its excellent cuisine and luxurious ambiance Zheng He’s is one of the most popular Chinese restaurants in town. The outdoor terrace is situated on the creek of the Medinat Jumeirah. Dimly lit and quiet, diners can peacefully enjoy the restaurant’s superb cuisine while looking onto the small boats which pass and listening to the soft sounds of the water. This is certainly one of the more romantic spots in Dubai. Don’t forget to try the prawn and caviar or squid ink dumplings and one of Zheng He’s acclaimed duck dishes.

Mina A’Salam, Medinat Jumeirah, 04 366 6730

The Boardwalk

This long-time favorite al fresco restaurant offers a magical setting and delicious food. The restaurant itself is located on three pile platforms on the Dubai Creek so that you can enjoy firsthand the busy activities of creek life while munching on delicious internationalal cuisine. This is not a gastronomic adventure but you can expect to be quite satisfied from a plate of fish and chips or a nice Caesar salad. The real charm of the boardwalk is the location and the lovely outdoor views.

Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club 04 295 6000

Eau Zone

One of the more romantic spots in town, Eau Zone is located in the stylish One & Only Royal Mirage Hotel. The setting is magical: Wooden jetties surround a lagoon-shaped pool lit with many warm candles. The menu is decidedly fusion with good European dishes given a slightly Asian twist. This is a lovely al fresco spot worth the extra bucks.

One and Only Royal Mirage, 04 399 9999

Sho Cho

Another long-time Dubai favorite is the inventive Japanese restaurant Sho Chos located by the sea at the Dubai Marine Resort and Spa. The outside terrace overlooking the Persian Gulf is consistently packed, even on weekdays. The menu is highly innovative and rarely fails to impress. Try the king fish with jalapenos or a good beef teriyaki.

Dubai Marine Resort & Spa, 04 346 1111

Pierchic

A delicious seafood restaurant built on a private pier at the Al Qasr Hotel, Pierchic is perhaps the epitome of a romantic al fresco restaurant. The breathtaking location leaves you feeling as if you’ve left Dubai and are now at sea. The stunning view includes a panorama of the Burj Al Arab, Palm Island, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and Dubai Marina. While there try the lobster and carrot falafels with Tasmanian trouts and also the scallop starts. Certainly worth a visit for such a unique dining experience.

Safari Support: Accessing the LA Zoo’s Inner Circles

LA zoo

The LA Zoo is always a fun, wholesome and educational way to spend an afternoon with the kids. But did you know there are some more exclusive and elegant ways to enjoy and support the animals?

Safari Club is the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association’s group for significant contributors who want to help grow this oasis of animal and plant life, give back to our community, and participate in GLAZA’s conservation and breeding programs for endangered species. Not only do benefactors enjoy doing good—most of their contributions are also tax deductible.

And there are other perks:

Australian Outback Circle members ($1500 donation) enjoy scavenger hunts in the zoo, behind-the-scenes parties and Zoo Director’s private gatherings with wildlife experts. In the South American Wildlands Circle ($3000) you also get a private animal encounter and tour for six, in the Himalayan Mountain Circle ($5000), a private “Animals & You” presentation for 12. Want the ZooMobile to visit your favorite school or senior center? Then join the Indonesian Rain Forest Circle ($10,000).

But if you really want to make a significant contribution to the Zoo, consider an Animal Naming. Donations vary up to $50,000.

la zoo carousel

Of course, you can also consider earmarking funds for capital projects, a commemorative bench, or even one of the hand-carved, hand-painted wooden animal figures made by Ohio’s Carousel Works on the new Moss Family Conservation Carousel (consider the Colobus Monkey, Eland or Okapi). On a more modest level, consider the ADOPT program (Animals Depend On People Too).

The Los Angeles Zoo is located at 5333 Zoo Drive, 323.644.4200

Teresa Giudice Attends Full Moon Party at DiLido

More than 150 of Miami’s social elite, local residents, hotel guests and celebrities attended Miami’s leading Full Moon Party at DiLido Beach Club at The Ritz-Carlton South Beach, the only oceanfront restaurant and lounge in town, on Saturday, June 26. Guests included queen table flipper Teresa Giudice of the popular reality television show The Real Housewives of New Jersey, who enjoyed econo chic cocktails and mouth-watering Mediterranean lights bites prepared by celebrity cheftestant Jeff McInnis, of Top Chef Season 5. Deejay Edwin kicked off the first Full Moon Party of the summer by spinning lounge music while guests enjoyed views of the moon rising out of the Atlantic gazing through high tech telescopes. Guidice, who sported a sexy blue dress fit for Miami, lounged with friends over cocktails and socialized with Chef McInnis, who at the end of the night noted he’d ring next time he’s in Jersey. This happened to mark Chef McInnis’ last Full Moon Party at the Ritz-Carlton; he will be venturing out to open up his own restaurant in the coming months, and we will be sure to keep you updated as we learn more about his plans.

DiLido Beach Club is located at The Ritz-Carlton South Beach, 1 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach. Call 786.276.4000 or visit The Ritz-Carlton’s website for more information and a schedule of future Full Moon parties.

Haute Spas: Get Creative with These Three Treatments

Just when you think you’ve tried everything at the spa, along comes something new that you just have to indulge in at least once. And Vegas is just the place to do that. Here’s a look at three innovative spa treatments that you can add on the next time you decide to escape the insanity of The Strip and relax.

Go Backless

Summers in Las Vegas mean you’ll be spending a lot of time showing off your assets, including your back. You can treat your back to the same type of facial treatment you get on your face with the Backless at the Spa at The Mirage. This 50-minute treatment uses two masks to treat and hydrate your back, followed by a relaxing lotion that leaves your back extremely touchable.

Backless at the Spa at the Mirage, $130, 702.791.7472

Sole Searching
Traipsing around Las Vegas in sandals can leave your feet in need of some tender loving care. When a pedicure alone won’t do, try adding a JellyBath treatment at the MGM Grand Spa. The product turns into a translucent fluffy jelly that detoxifies while reducing swelling. Just imagine walking on a cloud instead of concrete.

JellyBath treatment with any pedicure at the MGM Grand Spa, $15, 702.891.3077

Sun-Kiss Your Glow
One of the least attractive things you’ll see on The Strip is a nasty sunburn on someone who forgot that temperatures over 100 degrees are going to scald their skin quickly. First, wear sunscreen. Second, skip the harmful rays and go with Chocolate Sun Tanning at Vdara Health & Beauty. This natural and organic sunless tanning company uses natural and wild-crafted products to take care of your skin while giving you that summer glow.

What happens in Vegas doesn’t stay in Vegas when you’re a celebrity, especially if your name happens to be Susan Lucci and you’re having a post Daytime Emmy Award celebration at Lavo at the Palazzo. Dori’s World: MTV Dinners, Megan Odabash Jewelry, Phoenix House Summer Party and Charlotte Blechman’s Birthday Bash

This past weekend in the Hamptons was great. It started Friday with an amazing lunch at Jennifer Miller Brown’s house with Jennifer Raines. After a great afternoon barbecue and chopped salads, we made a quick stop at Debra and Harlan Peltz’s house, and then we were off to Daniella Rich and Richard Kilstock’s house for hors ’d oeuvres.

Friday night we stopped at The Palm for dinner in East Hampton. We dined with Jennifer Raines, Jennifer Miller Brown, Donny Deutsch, Rob Wiesenthal, model Nikki Cohen, Shallon Lester from MTV’s “Downtown Girls,” actor Jamie Patricof, co-president of MySpace Jason Hirschhorn, John Mason, Stephanie Hirsh and Arthur Altschul Jr.

When I got back to the Rich’s house, Megan Odabash and I had a fun time playing with all of her gorgeous jewelry.

On Saturday, Lizzie and Jonathan Tisch hosted a lunch at their home. Afterward, I headed to Valery Joseph Salon where I did a TV shoot with Plum TV. I got in a quick game of tennis with Denise Rich and then I was off to the Phoenix House Summer Party, which honored Tony DiSanto, president of programming at MTV, and Lauran and Charlie Walk, CEO and founder of CWE Media and chairman of RJW Collective. The star-studded event was held at the beautiful home of Margie and Michael Loeb. Phoenix House has been a beacon of hope, serving the most vulnerable men, women and children by rebuilding shattered lives, reuniting families and strengthening communities affected by substance abuse and dependency. Actor Nick Cannon and Jason Binn of Niche Media were all on hand.

Then it was off to Charlotte Blechman’s birthday party at the Bridgehampton burger institution Ziggy’s thrown by her husband David. I ran into a lot of my friends, including Chris and Richard Mack, Kelly and Steven Mack, Jennifer Minkus and Scot Lerner. This party turned into a late night.

If it’s ambiance you’re looking for, you don’t get more romantic than dining directly on the river with the breezy boats passing you by. The word “flatwater” literally means the wake-free sections of the Chicago River, where drivers are asked to cool their boats’ engines in order to preserve the calm.
