Haute Loft Living: Jane Fonda Lists Atlanta Penthouse

Looking for a nice loft with beautiful city views? Well, we know of one that is equal parts luxury and glamour—and, yes, spacious. I am talking about the penthouse loft of Hollywood leading lady Jane Fonda, who has left our city after 19 years of calling Atlanta home. Already, she has packed up and moved to LA to concentrate on her film career. While this is a loss for Atlanta, we are all clamoring to get our hands on this divine piece of property.  Her 4,700-square-foot and three-bedroom and three-baths loft, which she built in 2000, is currently on the market for $4.5 million. Located in an area called Poncey-Highland, this loft has spectacular downtown and midtown views, two balconies and four spaces in the garage. It also features a custom-curved staircase and a floor-to-ceiling bookcase with ladder.

The penthouse loft, which is actually four combined units, is also available for leasing at $10,000 per month. Pretty good deal, considering that comes with all of the fitness guru and ex-wife of media mogul Ted Turner’s furniture. Even her bedroom will stay the same with the oval mirror above the bed and glass fire place. But before you get too excited, the Andy Warhol pictures you see hanging in the loft have gone west with Jane.

This whole thing has happened pretty quickly. It seemed like the moment she announced her move, she was already on a flight headed back to L.A.  And now, she is in Paris for an upcoming film. At 72, she is pretty impressive. We will attribute that in part to the Atlanta aura.

She plans to return to Haute-lanta to attend meetings for her two non-profits: Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy and The Jane Fonda Center at the Emory School of Medicine.
