Haute 100 Los Angeles Update: Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann

Our Haute 100 list details the accomplishments of the most influential people in each of our markets—MiamiNew YorkLos Angeles, and San Francisco. These people continue to make moves, so rather than waiting for the next Haute 100 issue to come out, we thought we’d provide you with regular updates on those Haute 100 members who are making headlines. Today, we’re directing our attention to Hollywood Power Couple Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann, who just announced they will team up once again, this time for a film titled Business Trip.

Judd Apatow and Leslie Mann
CATEGORY: Power Couples
INDUSTRY: Film
COMPANY: Apatow Productions
WHAT MADE THEM HAUTE: Hollywood’s latest prolific writer/director/producer forged a comic empire with 15 movies in the past five years, including the 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, and Superbad. She’s his actress muse who gives crucial performances in some of his best works.

WHAT MAKES THEM HAUTE NOW: Apatow has signed on to produce an upcoming flick titled Business Trip, which is being billed as a female version of The Hangover. Universal Pictures and Benderspink will produce the film, and being that Benderspink is responsible for the uproarious Hangover, expectations are already pretty high. The storyline follows three women on a corporate trip, which is full of the low-brow comedic shenanigans Apatow is best known for. Mann, his wife, will be starring in the film; hopefully it is funnier than last summer’s Funny People, another Apatow flick that Mann also starred in.
